Dagpay escrow feature aims to ensure a fair trade experience for both parties. When an escrow deal starts, the buyer sends dagcoins into a temporary safe deposit account (escrow) where it will be held until the transaction is complete.

Note: The amount transferred into the escrow is the deal amount plus transaction cost (included in the deal total amount).

How escrow helps buyers: If you as a buyer make the payment but the seller refuses to send a product or provide a service, the secure escrow serves as a guarantee. The buyer's dagcoins will stay in escrow until our moderators step in to investigate the situation and award the coins to the deserving party.

How escrow helps sellers: Sometimes a buyer may not properly indicate that the product or service was received and release the payment. If you’re the seller in this case, then your dagcoins are safely released to your wallet when the deal duration concludes.

Once the payment is made and confirmed, and the seller has provided the service that was agreed, the buyer can release dagcoins from escrow to the buyer, and this will mark the deal as completed.
